Birth Control Acid Reflux

Can birth control pills cause acid reflux, or increase it? i read that bc pills with progesterone can cause it or add to a pre-existing condition and the bc i'm on, tr-sprintec, increases a person's level of progesterone but i've been on it for at least 3 months and haven't had acid reflux problems until now however, i did miss a few days of. Birth control acid reflux. Just over a year ago i started taking the birth control pill to help my skin at this time, i started to get symptoms of lpr (constant mucus etc) i'm yet to have this diagnosed i have been off the pill for about 8 months, and the lpr like symptoms are only getting worse i've read that the birth control pill can trigger acid reflux.

I stopped taking the birth control and all of the symptoms subsided. as soon as i began the birth control again they returned. therefore, i am positive there is a strong link between birth control and acid reflux issues. the strange part is.. i tolerated this birth control well in the past without these issues..
